This really is one of a kind! Our luxury 15-bedroom self catering accommodation stands unique on Longstone Edge, a stunning limestone ridge, offering sensational views over thousands of acres of the breath-taking Peak District National Park.

These traditional limestone buildings sit bang in the middle of their very own private farmland interrupted only by the sheep grazing nearby and sky larks playing in the wind. This peaceful haven is the perfect venue for your group holiday.

Bleaklow Farm has been lovingly renovated and carefully restored to its former glory yet immaculately designed to provide our guests with outstanding comfort. Our modern features include rainfall showers, underfloor heating, en-suites for every bedroom and plenty of space to switch off and relax. We feature locally quarried Mandale limestone, Kartell furniture, British designer Juliet Travers wallpaper and a host of other luxury brands.

All of this makes Bleaklow Farm perfect for corporate retreats, intimate weddings and group trips.

This impressive kitchen truly is the heart of the home, with enough dining space for all of your guests, a large corner sofa, plus the unbroken view of the surrounding landscape through its glass walls. This really is the perfect place for your group to gather. There are an additional 2 living rooms, a cloakroom and utility all within the main house, ensuring there is plenty of space for your whole party to unwind.

Our Grand Barn offers the perfect place for a celebration. With its flexible entertaining space, it is able to seat your whole group for an incredible feast or can be cleared for you to dance the night away. You can also gather on the mezzanine or hide away in the secret snug.

Eight of our luxury bedrooms sit within the main house, with the further seven just across the courtyard in the beautifully refurbished outbuildings. All of our 15 bedrooms have their own en-suites, clothes storage, hair dryers and comfortable beds, meaning everyone gets a good night’s sleep.

Outside the property you can enjoy the sensational views from the patio area. These south facing spaces offer the perfect spot to watch the constantly changing clouds and hopefully to enjoy some British sunshine. There is also plenty of room for alfresco dining or a BBQ in the courtyard.

From Bleaklow, you can see many of the best local spots. Why not head to Bakewell and enjoy the traditional pudding or visit the impressive estate of Chatsworth House? What to do:

Bleaklow Farm is centrally located within the stunning Peak District National Park. There is a wealth of scenic walks and outdoor activities, country pubs and exquisite stately homes all right on your doorstep.

It’s hard to know what to recommend the most.

Pubs, Cafés & Restaurants

The Packhorse Inn – Great Longstone.

A historic pub regarded as one of the best in the Peak District. Situated just off the Monsal Trail, it is surrounded by some of the most striking scenery the Peaks has to offer.

The Peacock – Rowsley

Located in the mill yard at Caudwell’s Mill. This cafe is known for its delicious homemade cakes and tasty light lunches.

Rafters – Riverside House, Ashford in the Water

This luxurious restaurant is a 7-minute walk from the property. Offering food that is not only mouth-watering but beautifully presented. The 6-course tasting menu is a popular choice for fine dining lovers.

Things to do

Chatsworth House and Park

No visit to the Peak District would be complete without visiting the fabulous Chatsworth House where there is something to do for every member of the family. The Farmyard and Adventure playground is a brilliant day out for children of all ages – with animal handling, milking demonstrations, and daily activities, plus there is a woodland adventure playground with slides, trampolines and more! Then there is obviously the house itself, steeped in history it is one of Britain’s greatest stately homes and has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. The gardens are equally as impressive with over 100 acres and as well and the beautiful flowers and plants, there are giant water features and sculptures dotted around. Again, suitable for all the family, with the maze, garden trails, and the famous water cascade to keep the little ones occupied.

Monsal Trail

With the Monsal Trail basically on your doorstep it would be rude not to take the opportunity to cycle/walk along this old Midland Railway line which runs from Bakewell right up to Blackwell Mill, in Chee Dale. The trail offers 8.5 miles of traffic free and mud free cycling/walking and with the recently reopened tunnels offers one of the most spectacular leisure routes in Britain for cycling, walking and horse riding.
The nearest cycle hire is at Hassop station which is great a place to stop for a bite to eat or for a coffee and a nice piece of homemade cake! There is a lovely little gift shop and book shop and a children’s play area. If walking it’s also worth leaving the trail and dropping down in to Monsal Dale itself to enjoy walking along down by the river.
